Every Breaking Wave: il nuovo videoclip degli U2
Dopo il successo di «Songs Of Innocence», distribuito gratuitamente agli utenti iTunes, arriva il video del secondo singolo degli U2, «Every Breaking Wave».
«Songs Of Innocence» è stato ascoltato in streaming 81 milioni di volte e scaricato da 30 milioni di utenti. Ora è il turno di «Every Breaking Wave», secondo singolo, accompagnato dalle immagini girate dal regista di Belfast, Aoife McArdle. L’artista nordirlandese aveva già realizzato un cortometraggio di 13 minuti ispirato alla canzone, ora “rimontato” sulla clip musicale ufficiale degli U2.
Nel corto di McArdle c’è la storia dell’Irlanda di sopra degli anni ottanta, quella delle turbolenze sociali, delle peace lines e dell’odio tra fazioni. Il videoclip di «Every Breaking Wave» racconta una storia d’amore con protagonisti due adolescenti, lei protestante e lui cattolico. Violenza e amore in quel fazzoletto di terra da sempre conteso tra lealisti e repubblicani.
